Here are a few options I found tonight for the keyword "coffee." Note that this option is a bit more advanced. Haiku Deck (which was introduced to me by Katie Decker, who has an awesome LinkedIn background image) is one of my favorite sites because it enables you to search through free images by keyword and the image includes the necessary attribution. Instead, find an image from a creative commons site. You'll want to be careful with this option that you're not pulling something off the web via a Google Images search and using it without the creator's permission. (hint: you can always crop the photo to fit, or move it around as I have done on profile) Consider a nice sunset, a city skyline, or some other figure that showcases your local downtown. As long as the first dimension is larger than 1400, your image is large enough. If I wanted to look up the size, I would open it on my computer, right click and select "properties" which would tell me this image size is 3264 x 2448 pixels. If you're lucky, your camera may already be set to take every photo at a high resolution (which means you often have to delete photos because your memory fills up quickly). You can adjust your camera settings to create high resolution images. Create your own image by taking a photograph. You may even wish to see if your marketing department has suggestions on a background image that is brand compliant. Give them the dimensions 1400x425 JPG and ask if they can create an image for your profile. If you have a graphic designer at your organization, ask for their help. You can ask for professional help, use a photo you've taken, or find a generic image on the web. They say use a 1400x425 JPG, but how does one make their picture that resolution, or do you have to find one that size? Any ideas would be appreciated.Ī: There are a few options to create a background on your LinkedIn that fits this size.
