![]() ![]() Is there any way to tell vmplayer to stick to fullscreen mode? Running "vmplayer -X " does not help, none of the VM settings in the GUI seem to address this, and I also couldn't find any useful setting for the vmx file. todetect 'TRUE' changed to todetect 'FALSE' svga.maxWidth 1024 svga. Checked Display is by default 'auto', applied workaround as below: 1) stop vista VM. It didn't have this issue but I had to abandon this platform for other reasons. I am using the FREE vmwave Workstation Player 16 : More Detail : Basically VirtualBox has this feature, a stretch guest feature, but they have removed all 3D Acceleration support in 6.1+ VMware still has the acceleration and is the only real option I know of Qemu for windows dose not use acceleration at all. As a result, on resume of the VM, all program windows in the VM have resized themselves to fit the small screen resolution, and I have to manually make them large again, which is rather annoying. ![]() With the latest build (9926) I cant select 2560x1440 as screen resolution, only 2560x1600,2560x1920 and everything below 1920x1200 shows up. When I enter the full screen mode, the resolution will be adapted (there is a VMWARE SVGA II card) If I change the resolution to 800圆00, I only see a small window in the middle. This works in general, but when I suspend the VM, vmplayer will always switch to windowed mode and resizes the window (and with it the VM's screen) to something very small before suspending the VM. Im running Windows 10 tech preview on a virtual machine using VMware Player 7.0. The Windows VM is supposed to always run in full screen mode on the external monitor with the 1920x1200 resolution. I'm running a Windows 10 VM inside of VMware Workstation Player 15 on an Ubuntu 18.04 LTS laptop with an internal 1920x1080 display and a external 1920x1200 monitor. ![]()
